Artificial Blood Created in Transylvania

(Cluj-Napoca, Romania) Scientists at Babeş-Bolyai University in the Transylvania region of Romania have created an artificial blood-like liquid that reportedly could be used in surgery or for transfusions in case of accidents.
The artificial blood contains a protein from sea worms. It has been tested on mice and the team behind the work says the results are encouraging.
Somehow, fake blood being made in Transylvania seems logical.
