Illinois Woman Gets Jail for Sex with Boy, 14 - Update

(Adams County, Illinois) Last May in Adams County Circuit Court, 31-year-old Nicole L. Starman pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy.

Yesterday, Starman was sentenced by Judge William Mays to 360 days in the Adams County Jail and 36 months probation and then ordered Starman to spend 120 days in jail, giving her credit for two days already served. She will be released for therapy and to go to work.
Starman was arrested Nov. 20 after an investigation by the Adams County Sheriff's Department.

A 14-year-old boy was interviewed by detectives Nov. 15. The boy told officers about an incident that happened Oct. 5 after he was at a party with friends. Older people also were at the party, and the boy offered to drive the adults to another location in Adams County.

Starman decided to stay with the boy after he dropped off the other adults and to return to the party. As the two were travelling, Starman put her hand on the boy's leg and eventually performed oral sex on the boy while he was driving.
Starman apologized to the victim and his family.

4 months in "jail" – is it really jail if she gets out every day to go to therapy and to go to work?
