Nebraska Teen Bank Robber

(Omaha, Nebraska) A 19-year-old local female, Kimberly Babbitt, has been found guilty of bank robbery.

In accordance with a plea agreement, Babbitt pleaded no contest to robbery.
Dodge County Attorney Oliver Glass told the court that on Sept. 28 Babbitt entered Fremont National Bank at 801 E. 23rd St., pushed her way to the front of a line of customers and handed the bank teller a note demanding money.

Glass said the teller told police Babbitt said “no tricks” and shushed the teller. Once the teller turned her money over to Babbitt, Babbitt repeated the act with a second teller.

Babbitt left the bank with about $2,000 in cash.

The FBI assisted Fremont Police in identifying and locating Babbitt.
Babbitt was booked into custody with bond set at $500,000. Sentencing is scheduled for January 13, 2014.
