Louisiana Mom Accused of Murder

(Lafayette, Louisiana) A 20-year-old local mother, Raven Senegal, has been accused of murdering her five month old daughter after the infant was taken to the hospital not breathing.

The mother advised investigators that a plastic shopping bag had covered the child's head. The child was found not breathing and transported to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

On March 31, detectives received new information in the case and an arrest warrant for first degree murder was issued for the mother, 20-year-old Raven Senegal of Lafayette.
