Mississippi Teacher Sentenced to Prison
(Walthall, Mississippi) A 40-year-old teacher at Walthall County Junior High, Nolana Griffin, has pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual battery of a person under the age of 18 by an authority figure.Griffin could have been sentenced to the maximum which is 120 years, but judge Michael Taylor opted for 25 years with 15 to serve and 10 years post supervision.Details on incarceration are unavailable.
He also ordered Griffin to undergo a mental evaluation.
Griffin taught English, Reading, Science and Health at Salem Attendance Center.
