Texas Teacher Going to School Accused of DWI

(Humble, Texas) A 48-year-old theater and arts teacher at Timberwood Middle School, Patricia Almond, has been accused of driving while intoxicated on her way to school.
When the detective saw the car graze a retaining wall, he radioed for a marked car, which pulled over Almond's vehicle on an exit ramp.

Police said Almond's eyes were bloodshot and her breath smelled of alcohol, that she appeared disoriented and was swaying from side to side.

The officer had emergency medical technicians check Almond to make sure she wasn't suffering a medical problem, then booked her for suspicion of DWI and got a warrant for a DWI blood test.
Details on arrest and custody not reported.
