Corpse Found in Detroit Garage

(Detroit, Michigan)
Police discovered a homicide victim encased in concrete inside a Detroit garage on May 30.

His identity is still unknown. Police on Monday released a description and photo of a tattoo on the victim's forearm in the hopes that someone recognizes it and identifies the man.

"R.I.P.," reads the tattoo, with the "8/23/81-4/07/09."

The man's body was "partially encased" in concrete at 15787 Freeland.

A neighbor looking for his garden hose entered and told Fox 2 News he smelled what he thought was a "dead rat" before spotting a foot and part of the victim's head encased in concrete within multiple plastic containers.

The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office hasn't charged the homeowner, who was detained for questioning after the discovery.
Investigators need more than concrete evidence.

I'm surprised the chemicals in the concrete didn't desolve his flesh.
