Cocaine Bust

(El Paso. Texas)
A woman from Mexico faces cocaine smuggling charges after an officer at a Texas border crossing noticed one of her legs appeared larger than the other.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials on Tuesday announced the seizure of more than 7 pounds of cocaine in three bricks attached to the woman's thighs. The cocaine has a street value of about $240,000.

Officers at the Paso Del Norte crossing in El Paso on Sunday afternoon became suspicious when the pedestrian seemed nervous when questioned.
This smuggling operation seems amateurish. I suspect that big operators regularly smuggle tons (i.e. thousands of pounds) of cocaine into the U.S. Nevertheless, the report is newsworthy.
