Oklahoma Woman Gets 10 Years Prison for Manslaughter
(Lawton, Oklahoma) In September 2013, a 53-year-old woman, Misty Yeats, was arrested for causing the death of a man after her car hit him while he was walking across the highway.
As a result, Yeats was charged with manslaughter after it was learned that she was driving with a revoked license.
According to court records, she accepted a plea deal in September of this year, and was ordered to return to court last week for sentencing, but she failed to show.Details on incarceration not provided.
Yeats was taken into custody Wednesday, and given a 10-year prison term.
