A former San Simon School teacher has been arrested and charged following an eight month investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a student.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office launched its investigation into Marie Donaldson and the alleged relationship involving a San Simon High School student on May 15th, 2014.

Last week, a grand jury indicted Donaldson on 10 counts of "sexual misconduct with a minor." All ten counts are "class 2" felonies.

All ten charges on Donaldson's indictment state: "On or between December, 2013 and May 2014 Marie Ellen Donaldson intentionally or knowingly engaged in oral sexual contact with a person under eighteen years of age." All ten counts add that "Marie Ellen Donaldson was or had been a school teacher of (student).

Donaldson was arrested and released on $25,000 bond.
