(Benton, Kentucky) A former teacher at Reidland Middle School, Chelsea Rose, has been sentenced to five years behind bars after pleading guilty to having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a 14-year-old female student.

(Paducah, Kentucky) A 24-year-old teacher formerly at Reidland Middle School, Chelsea Rose, has been accused of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl.

Rose faces felony charges in two counties, McCracken and Marshall Counties.

Rose detailed to Sheriff's Deputies her relationship with a 14-year-old girl in an interview last Friday. The arrest warrants from McCracken and Marshall County detail this interview and other incidents of the relationship. Some of the material in the warrants are too explicit to publish.

She says the sexual relationship began last month, January 17th. This was during the time Rose worked as a teacher and cheerleading coach at Reidland Middle. She admitted to several things including inappropriately touching and kissing the girl at the Calvert City Drive-In, buying alcohol for the girl and other underage students, and sending inappropriate text, picture, and Facebook messages.

Rose was arraigned in McCracken County Court.
