Carolina Teacher Accused of Sexual Misconduct
(Simpsonville, South Carolina) A 36-year-old teacher at Hillcrest Middle School, Meghan Colleen Dougherty, has been accused of engaging in inappropriate relations with a student.
Dougherty has been charged with criminal sexual misconduct with a minor in the 2nd degree.
The arrest resulted from an investigation that revealed Dougherty and a 14 year old female student had engaged in sexual acts as far back as January of this year.Dougherty awaits arraignment.
Dougherty was a physical education teacher at Hillcrest Middle School during the time of the alleged crimes, and also coached the girl's soccer and volleyball teams.
