Ben Carson and his older brother were reared in a poor Detroit neighborhood alone by a mother who did not finish grammar school, herself, but encouraged her boys to read.Dr. Carson's website appropriately states "Heal, Inspire, Revive" (which is what I believe he will do for America if he gets the chance).
Ben developed a love of learning and, after graduating from high school, held several blue collar jobs before earning his psychology degree and then his doctorate in medicine.
Ben Carson is a Library of Congress "Living Legend" and has received numerous awards including the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a US civilian's highest honor.

Cuba Gooding Jr. portrayed Dr. Carson in the 2006 made-for-TV movie Gifted Hands.
Dr. Carson maintains a staunch pro-life position, believes in balancing the budget, supports Health Savings Accounts and less government control of health care, and believes in standing by our ally Israel.
He believes in strengthening America by respecting and carrying out the tenets of our Constitution.
Good luck on the campaign trail, Dr. Carson!
