Wisconsin Woman and Plastic Bag

(Merrill, Wisconsin) A 45-year-old local woman, Stacey Hansen, has been accused of attempted homicide for trying to strangle and suffocate a 78-year-old man with a plastic bag.

Police arrived at the scene on Grand Avenue in Merrill to find the man without a pulse. He was resuscitated on the the way to the hospital by first responders.

The victim told police that Hansen tried to kill him, and that he remembered her sitting on his chest and pinching his nose, but does not remember getting into the ambulance.

Hansen was booked on $100,000 bond.
