Trial ordered for teacher accused of sex with student in Pa. cemetery

A substitute teacher accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student in a car parked in a Pennsylvania cemetery has been ordered to stand trial on a charge of institutional sex assault.

49-year-old Kelly Aldinger of Pen Argyl waived her right to a preliminary hearing Monday in Northampton County.

Police say they caught a 49-year-old woman who works as a substitute teacher having a sex with a 17-year-old boy in an Easton, Pa. cemetery.

Authorities allege that the married Easton woman met the boy when he was her 16-year-old student at Easton Area High School. Police say they were caught having sex in a car on May 6 about 1 p.m. at Easton Cemetery, and both told investigators that they've had a sexual relationship since last fall.

Defense attorney Philip Lauer said after the hearing that his client has no criminal history and "is a good person and a good educator."
