Ohio Pair Accused of Prostitution

(Salem, Ohio) Two local woman, Deborah Sue Lapin, 45, and Nicole Marie Polley, 23, have been accused of operating an on-line prostitution ring.

Both are charged with soliciting and possessing criminal tools, the latter for allegedly using a cell phone in the transaction.

The (Alliance) Review said an undercover officer responded to an ad on backpage.com and later met both women in the hotel, where each allegedly offered sexual acts in exchange for cash.

After the two were arrested, the Review said, police found heroin in Polley's car, resulting in a possession of heroin charge against her.

Georgia Teacher Accused in Murder-for-Hire Plot

(Dallas, Georgia) A 48-year-old teacher at Lost Mountain Academy Daycare, Melissa Bennett Silvers, has been arrested for an alleged murder-for-hire plot.

Silvers faces a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

Undercover agents said they were contacted by Silvers in reference to a plot to kill her ex-husband.

Silvers and her ex-husband had been divorced since January 2012, but he allowed her to live in his house because of their adopted children, according to deputies.

Silvers spent time discussing the details with an undercover agent. They eventually met on Dec. 13 to agree on a price for the job, according to detectives. She paid the agent a portion of the agreed upon price.

Silvers was booked into custody at the Paulding County Detention Center without bond.

Undocumented Permanent Resident Aliens

Starting on February 1, 2013, America will have a new legal class of aliens — they will be undocumented permanent resident aliens.

This bizarre new category of immigrant was created by a notice in the December 14 Federal Register by order of United States Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS), a part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).[…]

These aliens will have all the rights of other legal immigrants, but they will not have the government form commonly called a green card to prove it. And it is all perfectly OK with the government. Though the term "undocumented permanent resident alien" is not mentioned as such in the publication, that is, in fact, what these aliens will be.

What USCIS has done is to announce that it will start collecting a previously authorized, but never-collected $165 fee on Department of State-cleared immigrants as they arrive in the United States on and after February 1, 2013.

DHS does not want to inconvenience any arriving immigrants by demanding payment so it has created a class of undocumented green carders.

It seems the U.S. is trending toward not having any borders.

Virginia Woman Accused of Armed Robbery

(Christiansburg, Virginia) A 28-year-old local woman, Tabitha Renee Scott, has been accused of robbery from local restaurants. She claimed she had a bomb.

Scott faces charges of grand larceny, armed robbery and threatening to bomb.

Tabitha Renee Scott is alleged to have robbed the Christiansburg Little Caesar’s on North Franklin Street around 7:40 p.m. Dec. 6, a couple hours after allegedly stealing a purse from another Christiansburg restaurant.

Becky Wilburn, public relations officer for town of Christiansburg, said Scott is suspected of stealing a purse from Farm House Restaurant on Ridinger Street, then entering the pizza restaurant around 10 p.m., claiming to have a bomb.

Scott was booked into custody at the Western Virginia Regional Jail.

Although Kansas currently ranks among the top ten states in crude oil production, its best is yet to come. With gradually depleting reserves in Texas and advancements in drilling technologies, nearby Kansas is sure to attract a lot of interest of oil firms. Existing players are starting to realize current production is only the tip of the proverbial iceberg and thus, are busy buying land in the state.

According to Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback, vast amounts of oil and natural gas are under the ground in rock formations known as Mississippi Lime.

If the formation gushes as much oil and gas as hoped, Brownback said, it will help move the U.S. toward energy independence and boost the Kansas economy with billions in investment and income and thousands of good-paying jobs.

“This is a great day,” Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George told the conference, organized to talk about how small businesses could prosper from the possible boom.

Mark Richardson, a retired Kansas farmer at the conference, said “there are very few people I know who would be reluctant to have an oil well on their property. It’s a definite yes about the optimism.”

On the other hand, given its general negative attitude towards fossil fuels, the Obama administration might opt to put up a few impediments to the development of oil and gas in Kansas. The Environmental Protection Agency, the Endangered Species List, and other feds are quite adept at handcuffing American businessmen.

Hoosier Woman Pinched for Drugs

(Syracuse, Indiana) A 44-year-old Elkhart woman, Carol Ann Garcia, has been accused of dealing drugs near a school.

Garcia has been charged with dealing a Schedule III controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Police made an undercover purchase of numerous prescription pills from Garcia in the parking lot of Syracuse business which was across the street from a preschool.

Once the purchase was complete, police stopped the suspect and arrested her without incident.

Garcia was booked into custody at the Kosciusko County Jail with bond set at $20,000.

 Homosexual Bible is a fraud

There's a brief report below on a recently-released "Queen James Bible". It is a Bible in which passages that condemn homosexuality have been altered to remove the condemnation. The alterations are paraded as translations or interpretations but are in fact speciously-justified alterations, not translations.  They leave out words that are in the original and insert words that are not in the original.  They are a fraud.

It's just a stunt by some SanFrancisco Episcopalian clergyman and one rather wonders what it is meant to achieve.  How is misrepresenting the basis of the Christian faith going to help you obtain the salvation that the faith offers?

But many Episcopalians have long ignored the clear teachings of the Bible so they are clearly mock-Christians only.  Their only interest seems to be in dressing up in fancy clothes and sexual perversion, not salvation.  They are not people of faith at all.  If they are loyal to anyone it is the Devil.  They are Satanists in drag.  Judging by the fate of Sodom and Gomorrah, their future is grim.

Jesus made the sexual alternatives perfectly clear in the first verses of Matthew 19:  God made men and women to form unions with one another and the only alternative to that is celibacy.  Jesus was actually stricter about sexual morality than the Torah is.

Don’t like it? Change it. That’s the approach to Scriptural translation taken by the creators of a new gay-friendly Bible.

“You can’t choose your sexuality, but you can choose Jesus. Now you can choose a Bible, too,” say the creators of the Bible, emblazoned with a rainbow cross, which was launched at the end of November.

The editors explain in a statement that they took each of the eight Bible verses traditionally used to argue that homosexuality is sinful, and edited them “in a way that makes homophobic interpretations impossible.”

For instance, in the first letter to Timothy, where St. Paul refers to “them that defile themselves with mankind,” the new Bible simply excises the word “mankind.”

This new translation, the editors say, will “resolve interpretive ambiguity in the Bible as it pertains to homosexuality.”

Other than the eight verses in question, the Bible uses the King James translation verbatim. The “Queen James” title is based upon a theory that King James, the British king who commissioned the famous translation of the Bible, was bisexual.

But while the “homophobic” passages have been altered, the editors say that “the Bible is still filled with inequality and even contradiction that we have not addressed. No Bible is perfect, including this one.”

The homosexual news outlet Pink News has identified Reverend J. Pearson of San Francisco’s Holy Innocents Episcopal church as the mastermind behind the rainbow-themed Bible.

Florida Woman Accused of Illegally Enhancing Butts

(Hialeah, Florida) A 53-year-old local woman, Samela Hernandez, has been accused of illegally performing butt-enhancement injections.

Hernandez and her husband, Pedro Hernandez, were arrested this week on charges of practicing healthcare without a license and possession of blank prescription forms.

Hialeah detectives this week raided the couple’s Hialeah home and seized a slew of medical equipment including syringes and Lidocaine, plus a list of clients and procedures. Two more victims were at the house at the time, and told police they had undergone procedures for months; one said she believed Hernandez was a nurse.

The first victim told police that after the first injection, she returned to the Hernandez house and they administered “more solution into the void area of her buttocks to ‘fill in’ the gaps between the welts.”

She sustained “permanent deformity” as a result -- and soon learned that the substance used in her buttocks was banned in Colombia “because of its tendency to cause cancer,” the report said.

Florida Woman Accused of Murder

(St. Petersburg, Florida) A 24-year-old local woman, Jillian Leah Smith, has been accused of causing the death of her live-in boyfriend, 32-year-old Michael Gene Espy.

Charged with second-degree murder, Smith allegedly plunged a kitchen knife into Espy's chest.

After the stabbing, Smith called 911 seeking medical assistance for the victim, police said. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead about 1:37 p.m.

Police said Smith and the victim, who were not married and had been in a relationship for about a year, have had a history of domestic disputes.

Police said there were11 instances in the past year; the most recent occurrence was on Dec. 4.

Smith was booked into custody at the Pinellas County Jail.

There is an interesting twist to the story of the nurse who committed suicide allegedly because of a hoax telephone call from an Australian radio program regarding Princess Kate's pregnancy.

An inquest heard that Jacintha Saldanha, 46, left three emotional suicide notes following the prank call by Australian DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian.

But it has emerged today that in one of the notes she has criticised colleagues at the King Edward VII hospital over her treatment following the controversial call.

Arguably, writing three suicide notes would seem to indicate a seriously conflicted mentality. She was devoted to killing herself but she apparently wasn't exactly clear why she was doing it.

 Save the innocents!  Arm all teachers!

Another tragic failure of a stupid policy ("gun-free" zones) has just been enacted in Connecticut.  When will the "educators"  ever learn?  Innocent kids are dying to uphold Leftist ideology that everything can be fixed by laws and regulations.  In Israel teachers are armed.  Why not in America?  Both countries face similar evils, as the current example should make clear

The tragic murders Friday at the Sandy Hook Elementary School break the heart of every American, and that includes gun owners. Those of us who belong to the 47 percent of families who have a gun in the home for self defense are mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, grandparents aunts and uncles who think of our own little ones as we mourn the terrible scenes from Newtown, Conn.

It is human nature to want to find someone or something to blame for a tragedy like this. Parents want to find a way to prevent it from happening to their own children. The horror of a man so deranged that he could shoot a small child is almost impossible to understand or to accept. However, those who use this tragedy to call for more gun-control laws are misguided.

As I write this, the initial reports say that the alleged killer bought his guns legally. He used an ordinary handgun and one of the most popular types of rifle

The Sandy Hook school was a gun-free zone, meaning Mr. Lanza knew that no one could shoot back when he entered the school or the classroom where his mother taught. The shooting in July in a movie theater in Aurora, Colo. was also in a gun-free zone. Rather than engaging in yet another debate about the Second Amendment, perhaps we should be discussing whether security is enhanced or weakened by not allowing a school to be armed for self defense.

Dick Heller, who sued the District of Columbia for the right to keep a gun at home, emailed me today about the shooting. “Just like in DC, there are ‘sensitive’ areas, ‘vulnerable’ areas where politicians know security is needed,” the Washington security guard explained to me. “Yet they still intentionally disarm everyone -- sometimes even the ‘security’ staff -- and create an inviting environment for criminals, the domestic violence-prone, and terrorists.” Had one guard had a firearm in either Colorado or Connecticut, there is a good chance lives would have been saved.

No law can stop a criminal hell-bent on killing. When a person determined to do harm cannot get a gun legally, he will obtain it illegally. Even if the 100 million guns in America were rounded up and thrown into the ocean, there will still be deranged killers. In Oklahoma City, Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols used simple fertilizer to kill 168 people, including 19 children under the age of six in 1995.

In gun-free Japan in 2008, a former school janitor stabbed eight children to death in their elementary school. In 1927, Bath Township, Mich. was home to the worst school killing in history. The school's treasurer used bombs made with dynamite and pyrotol to kill 38 elementary school children. We can’t outlaw fertilizer or explosives or knives. Even if we did, the deranged would just find another way to kill.

Murder is already illegal. So is assaulting a child. We have enough laws. What we lack today is the power to overcome evil.

Jews Told to Hide Faith

(Copenhagen, Denmark)

Jews in Denmark are advised to avoid wearing the Star of David or the religious headpiece, the kippah, in public according to advice given out by the Israeli Embassy and Jewish faith groups.

Israel’s ambassador, Arthur Avon, speaking to Jyllands-Posten newspaper for their report on anti-semitism, said that wearing these symbols in public increased the risk of harassment.

“We advise Israelis who travel here and want to go to the synagogue that they should only put their kippah on once they are inside,” Avon told Jyllands-Posten newspaper. “They shouldn’t wear them on the street, even in areas that are considered safe.”

Avon and the Jewish faith group, Mosaisk Troessamfund, also advise Jews not to visibly wear the Star of David in public.

Hoosier Teacher Accused of Smacking Child

(St. Joseph County, Indiana) A first-year special education teacher at Laville Jr.-Sr. High School, Saundra Yute, has been accused of spanking a 12-year-old special needs student.

Yute has been charged with battery to a child.

"We took immediate action, The teacher had a resignation letter on my desk within 20 minutes. We called child protective services, the teacher came later that evening we got her belongings, she then left the building and she hasn't come back since,” said Principal Jeremy Tucker.

Yute was arraigned on felony charges Friday afternoon.

Yute was booked into custody and released on $500 bond.

Georgia Teacher Accused of Child Abuse

(Fulton County, Georgia) A 34-year-old special education teacher formerly at Hopewell Middle School, Melanie Pickens, has been accused of abusing students.

Pickens has been indicted on charges of cruelty to children and false imprisonment in connection with the physical abuse of five disabled students.

The alleged abuse occurred between 2004-2007.

According to the indictment, Pickens restrained and isolated students in a dark room, slammed students face-first into lockers and walls, and screamed into their ears.

Pickens allegedly loudly played back a recording of one child's cries directly into his ear.

The Professional Standards Commission revoked Pickens' teaching certification and Pickens resigned in 2007.

It's unknown why it took so long for criminal charges to be filed.

Slaughter at Connecticut School - Update

(Newtown, Connecticut) New developments at 4:00PM EST.

New (unconfirmed) information has been disclosed which contradicts previous reporting. The shooter is now believed to be the brother of Ryan Lanza, a 20-year-old named Adam Lanza.

Confirmed thus far: 20 dead children (18 died in kindergarten classroom, two died in hospital); 6 dead adults at school; shooter dead (possible suicide).

Being investigated: one dead at secondary Newtown crime scene believed to be shooter's mother; one dead at Hoboken, NJ, crime scene believed to be shooter's father.

Search for a possible second shooter is in progress.

(Newtown, Connecticut) A 24-year-old man entered the Sandy Hook Elementary School and killed more than two dozen people, 18 of which were children.

The shooter has been identified as one Ryan Lanza out of New Jersey.

A quick Facebook scan has identified one Mr. Ryan Lanza in the 18-24 year old age group, out of Hoboken, NJ who lists Newtown, CT as his home city.

Also, Ryan Lanza's parents have been found dead.

The story continues to develop.

California PTA Embezzlement Case

(Merced, California) The 35-year-old president of the Gracey School Parent-Teacher Association, Andrea Solima, has been accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from her organization.

According to Merced Police Lt. Tom Trindad, Solima said she took the money to pay her bills.

Administrators at Gracey School first became suspicious when they noticed discrepancies in the parent-teacher fund, Trindad said.

After the incident was reported to police, Detective Allen Adrian found that $6,939.15 was misappropriated from the fund, Trindad said.

Reportedly, Solima turned herself in to police. Details on booking are unavailable.

Georgia Teacher Busted for Drugs

(Statenville, Georgia) A Spanish teacher at Echols County High School, Krystal Maldonado-Alers, faces drug charges.

Maldonado-Alers has been arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a drug related object Friday after police confiscated marijuana from her car and a glass, smoking pipe that she attempted to discard on school property.

“The principal saw her retrieve something from her car,” said Echols County Sheriff Randy Courson.

Echols County School system principal Dave Rosser saw Maldonado-Alers retrieve what was found to be a glass, smoking pipe from her car and throw it into a fenced area around the school.

Rosser notified authorities and the pipe was retrieved and found to contain a small quantity of marijuana residue.

Maldonado-Alers granted the authorities permission to search her car and according to Courson, less than one ounce of marijuana was retrieved from inside the car.

Maldonado-Alers was booked into custody and released on bond.

CALM Act

(New York City) Adopted a year ago, the CALM Act became effective today as the one-year grace period expired.

CALM stands for Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation.

The act is designed to prevent TV commercials from blaring at louder volumes than the program content they accompany. The rules govern broadcasters as well as cable and satellite operators.

The rules are meant to protect viewers from excessively loud commercials.

Gangnam Style

TRIBUTES have been paid to a Dublin dad-of-three who dropped dead in front of his wife after energetically performing the popular 'Gangnam-style' dance.

Eamonn Kilbride (46) was celebrating with colleagues at their Christmas party in Blackburn, in England, when he suddenly suffered a heart attack last Saturday.

Also, he dropped dead on his wife's birthday. Pretty sad story.
