HOME-TREATED WATER NO BETTER THAN PLAIN TAP WATER
A research team at the University of California, Berkeley, with scientists from the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), have determined that in-home water treatment devices provide no additional protection from gastrointestinal illness. Therefore, plain tap water is not improved using the treatment devices.
If one is a prudent, thinking individual, one would realize that the purchase of a home water treatment device is a waste of money. If, however, one is psychologically alarmist by nature, purchase of a home water treatment device will keep the bogeyman at bay. For those possessing that particular psychological quirk, please be aware that it is not a good practice to regularly get sucked in by the alarming crap that's spewed at you by the television and other media.
