BBC Sunsets Cartoon Licensing to Snack Foods

(London, UK) The food police are celebrating another victory in Britain today with the announcement by the tax-funded BBC that it will no longer license its cartoon characters to snack food producers.
Teletubbies chocolate bars, Tweenies chocolate krispies and Fimbles shortcake are to be replaced with healthier products, like yoghurt with dried fruit and shaped pasta.
Oooh, yummy! Just wait, next they'll be forcing trail mix on everyone.

Mary Renouf of BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the BBC, said they tried to license unappealing snacks several years ago and it didn't work. So they've decided to stop licensing appealing snack food to force people into buying the cardboard flavored alternatives. The London-based Food Gestapo Commission applauded the BBC's action.

One has to wonder why socialism has to be forced on people if it's such a good deal.
