OSU Hempfest

(Columbus, Ohio) The Ohio State University officials canceled this year's Hempfest because the Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), the student organization sponsoring the festival, failed to meet requirements to notify university police at least 10 business days in advance of the event. In response, the SSDP filed suit in U.S. District Court seeking an injunction to overturn the university's decision. The judge ruled in favor of the hemp advocacy.

It's not clear on what basis the judge made his decision. It's also not clear why the university is being prevented from enforcing established requirements regarding use of the campus. What is clear, though, is that the sensible drug crowd has a problem following simple instructions and meeting minimal requirements.
