Japan's Homeland Security

The Japanese Counter-Terrorism Taskforce claims its new policies are based upon actions already taken by Britain, France, and the United States. The current plan is to amend the immigration laws to include the following:
1) Fingerprinting and photographing all foreigners entering Japan,

2) Advance submission of air and sea carrier passenger lists,

3) Immediate deportation of suspected terrorists, and

4) Allowing hotels to ask foreigners for their nationalities and passport number.
If these actions are occurring in the U.S., it's news to me.
