Trapped In The Elevator
(New York City) Everyone has probably heard the story from earlier this week about the Chinese restaurant worker, Ming Kung Chen, who was trapped in an elevator for three days. Chen was rescued and will be fine. However, while he was getting so much media attention, it was revealed by the NYPD that he was an illegal alien who paid a smuggler $60,000 to come to the U.S. Evidently, releasing that information is contrary to the sanctuary policy of the NYC government concerning illegals.
So, it appears there's a real chance that some cops within the NYPD will be disciplined, just for telling the truth. Of course, this begs a question. Since the courts recognize doctor-patient and clergy-church member confidentiality, will they now be honoring the illegal alien-city worker confidentiality? If so, Ming Kung Chen should sue the city of New York.
