(Knoydart, Scotland) At a conference of renewable energy advocates, Dr. Jim Hunter, former chairman of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), a sustainable environment advocacy, discussed the need for wind farms and said that global warming is a greater threat to Scotland than Hitler in the 1940s. He said:
"Global warming is a more insidious and longer-term danger than Hitlerism, but it’s one that could be far more deadly. Ultimately, it might extinguish humanity itself."Scottish communities will be obliterated in two generations from climate change, according to Dr. Hunter who is a well-known historian, freelance author, and broadcaster with a particular focus on social change.
Dr. Hunter's assertions mirror those of Sir David King, the government’s chief environmental zealot, who believes that climate change is a greater problem than the threat of terrorism.
It's just more end-of-the-world alarmism from the environmental wackos.
