Rug Burns From Hot Sex with Female Student

(Athens, Ohio) A 24-year-old English teacher at Trimble High School, Stephanie Evans, is under investigation by the Glouster Police Department for allegedly engaging in multiple sexual encounters with a female student during the last school year. No charges have been filed as yet, however, the Trimble Local School Board voted to suspend Evans without pay and begin the process to terminate the teacher/coach.

From The Athens News:
In the lengthy resolution adopted Tuesday, the school board alleges in some detail that Evans had sex with a student identified as "Student A," and boasted about her encounters to a "Student B" and a "Student C."

The resolution alleges that Evans had sex with the student in her classroom and outside of school "on multiple occasions" during the 2004-05 academic year.

She is also alleged to have told Student B about her sexual relationships with Student A, even allegedly including details such as getting rug burns during one sexual episode, and telling Student B that she once had sex with Student A and a third person in her apartment.
Evans, through attorney Grant Shoub of Columbus, denied all allegations and has vowed to fight her termination.

[Update 11/05/07]

Allegations of teacher Stephanie Evans having sex with anyone, male or female, were completely false. For indicating anything otherwise, I apologize.

However, Evans was fired by the school system for her behavior and she appealed the case to the county court.
The firing of a Trimble Local School District teacher accused of sexual misconduct has been upheld by a court.

However, Judge L. Alan Goldsberry based his decision on one specific incident involving teacher Stephanie Evans, and ruled there was insufficient evidence to support other allegations against Evans -- including the allegation she had sex with a student.

Evans was fired by the school board June 27, 2006, with the board rejecting a hearing referee's recommendation that she be given written reprimands. Evans appealed the firing to the Athens County Common Pleas Court.

Goldsberry, in a decision filed Friday, said that Evans' participation in a prank telephone call with several of her student softball players -- in which Evans and one student mimicked the sound of an orgasm -- gave the school board cause to fire her.

"A teacher/coach who, entrusted with the care and oversight of minor student-athletes on a school-sanctioned trip, not only condones but facilitates and participates in an obscene prank telephone call has committed immoral conduct within the meaning of (Ohio law)," Goldsberry ruled.

The judge said he would not overturn the school board's decision to fire Evans.

"The court is not a 'super school board' ... and will not second-guess the board's decision to terminate a teacher's contracts where demonstrated immorality and/or a serious lapse of judgment has occurred," Goldsberry wrote.

Goldsberry dismissed her case and ordered her to pay court costs.
It's not clear what happens next.
