Founders of Cryonics Cremated
(Loire Valley, France) Raymond Martinot and his wife, Monique Leroy, are credited with being founders of the cryonics movement and both were on ice themselves.
After their deaths, they were frozen to -65 degrees Centigrade with hopes of being brought back to life in the year 2050 after modern science figured out how to do it.
Unfortunately, their freezer went on the fritz and, apparently, their packaging said, "If thawed, do not refreeze." Consequently, they were cremated.
Oops!
