Florida Woman Gets Reduced Prison Term - Update

(Viera, Florida) Convicted child sex offender Kimberly M. Page, 40, has had her 30-plus-year sentence reduced to 10 years on appeal by Judge Charles Roberts.
Page had sex with a 14-year-old boy and was sentenced in 2008 to 37 years in prison on five charges.

But a Melbourne law firm intervened and appealed the case, claiming Page’s original attorney didn’t do her job, and got the case sent back to court.[…]

On Friday, Page, who has served more than four years already, pleaded to the five charges of lewd and lascivious battery for a second time — this time according to agreed-upon terms with the State Attorney’s Office — and Roberts sentenced her to 10 years in prison.

She will be allowed sentence reductions, and following her release, will be on 15 years of probation with sexual offender conditions.
With credit for time served, Page reportedly will be freed in 3.5 years.

Woman Charged with 12 Counts of Sexual Battery on Boy
[Previous 3/30/06 post]
(Cocoa, Florida) A 34-year-old, married mother of three, Kimberly Page, was arrested yesterday and charged with 12 counts of sexual battery for repeatedly engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy.

According to Cocoa Police Detectives, Page would arrive at the boy's home and help him sneak out to have sex with her. The relationship became known when the boy started talking about it. Page also allegedly told the boy that she was going to leave her husband for him.

Page is currently in custody at the Brevard County Jail on $35,000 bond.

[Update 1900 EST]

From WFTV.com:
Police said they conducted a controlled phone call between Page and the victim. In it, she allegedly told the boy she loved him.

"We can use the word she seduced him. She absolutely did. This went on for a period of time before the sex occurred. But she would help him get out to the house at night, open the window, wake him up and take him out for the little rendezvous," Det. Matthews explained.

Cocoa detectives believe there are more victims. Their investigation has led them to at least two other boys who they are planning to interview. Meanwhile, Page is being held in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
