Iranian Cartoon Contest

(Tehran, Iran) Over 200 cartoons about the Holocaust are displayed in an exhibition which opened yesterday in Tehran. They were selected from 1,200 entries received from Iran and other nations, including the United States, Indonesia, and Turkey. Naturally, the cartoons reflect the attitude of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who calls the Holocaust a myth.

Here's an example from the exhibition.
One cartoon by Indonesian Tony Thomdean shows the Statue of Liberty holding a book on the Holocaust in its left hand and giving a Nazi-style salute with the other.
I haven't seen any of the cartoons nor do I care to. Ahmadinejad will have to rely on others to smell his stink bombs.

Meanwhile, CBS's Mike Wallace conducted a softball and marshmallow interview with the Iranian president for broadcast on American television, ostensibly attempting to understand or humanize the guy. Unfortunately, as an erudite, compassionate, and diplomatic world leader, Ahmadinejad came across as an incorrigible, self-centered teenager. And Wallace pretty much demonstrated that his skills as an investigative journalist have deteriorated to the point where he should seriously consider retirement.
