(Yorkshire, England) A 24-year-old Muslim teacher at Headfield C of E Junior School, Aishah Azmi, has been suspended from her position for refusing to take off her veil during lessons.

Students found it difficult to understand Miss Azmi without seeing her lips move. With the exception of the classroom while teaching, Miss Azmi was otherwise permitted to wear her veil throughout the school.
Even though the Muslim Council of Britain disagrees with her, Miss Azmi is to plead her case against the school system before an employment tribunal "in a fortnight."
