Freshman Picking Cheaper Colleges

According to a survey, about half of this year's freshman picked their second-choice school even though they were accepted by their top pick. More than one-third attending their third and fourth choices had also been accepted at their first. It appears that cost was a primary factor.

It would be a positive development to see widespread competition among schools based on tuition rates. It's needed.
