Nun Approves Hooker Therapy

(Oxford, England) A terminally-ill young man, 22-year-old Nick Wallis, was allowed to use a prostitute so he could experience sex before he dies. Sister Frances Dominica, founder of Douglas House hospice and Helen House hospice for children, gave her support.

According to Nick Wallis, he badgered the Douglas House staff and his parents for two years for a hooker before he was allowed to do so. Ultimately, he used his own savings to procure a sex worker through an advertisement in a magazine for the disabled.
"It was not emotionally fulfilling, but the lady was very pleasant and very understanding. I do not know whether I would do it again. I would much rather find a girlfriend, but I have to be realistic."
Sister Frances stated that she was able to support Wallis' sexual episode despite the fact that she ran a Christian foundation because it is not her job to make moral decisions for guests at the hospice.

Wallis suffers from an inherited disorder, characterized by rapidly-worsening muscle weakness, called Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Typically, death occurs by age 25 from respiratory failure. Only two out of 10,000 people, primarily males, inherit the disorder.
