Counselor Gets 6 Months for Sex with Boy
(Lincoln, Nebraska) In April 2006, a group home counselor for young sex offenders, Leah T. Pleskac, was arrested for having sex with a 15-year-old boy and charged in Lancaster County District Court with first-degree sexual assault of a child.
According to police, Pleskac had sex with the 15-year-old eight to ten times while she counseled him as a sex offender.
In December, Pleskac pleaded no contest to sexual assault of a child.
Yesterday, 25-year-old Pleskac was sentenced to 180 days in jail by a Lancaster County judge. She was also ordered to serve four years probation.
In summary, while in a trusted position of authority as counselor of young sex offenders, Pleskac commits a sex crime and gets 180 days in jail. It's not known whether she will be required to register as a sex offender.
