Teacher Gets Probation for Nude Photos

(Divernon, Illinois) In November 2006, special education teacher's aide at Divernon High School, Kourtney Mullen, was arrested for an alleged inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old male special education student. Mullen was charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault.

At some point between then and now, the wizards of justice were able to make the counts of sexual assault disappear to be replaced with a nude photos charge.

This week, 23-year-old Mullen pleaded guilty to distributing harmful materials to the 17-year-old and was sentenced to two-year's probation. The harmful materials were explicit photos of herself taken with a cameraphone. She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and undergo a psychological evaluation.

It appears that the wizards of justice decided not to pursue the sexual assault charges since the boy was of legal age and not a student in any of Mullen's classes.
