Tell me, how in the world can law enforcers even try to do their jobs when they are regularly presented with two, three, sometimes even dozens, of aliases while investigating an individual? I don't know.
Well, anyways, here's an example from TyronePa.com.
The illegal alien from Mexico discovered by Tyrone Borough Police, who was arrested recently on false identification charges, waived his preliminary hearing. The Pennsylvania State Police will fingerprint Rivas, or whoever he is, and consult the nationwide AFIS system to learn his true identity. Of course, they are assuming that he has been fingerprinted before. However, even if he has be previously fingerprinted, there is no guarantee that the name he used then wasn't phony.
Alvarado Rivas, age 40, waived his right to a preliminary hearing last Wednesday. Rivas now faces two second degree felony forgery charges and three misdemeanors for giving police a false name and forged identification card from the Immigration and Naturalization Services.
One can only imagine the frustration experienced by the law enforcement community.
