(New York City) Teacher Lina Sinha, convicted last week, was bailed out of Rikers Island today by her parents. The $3.5 million bail package was approved by Supreme Court Justice John Cataldo.
Her parents gave a bondsman six percent of the total bail and put up two of the three Montessori schools they own -- one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn -- as security. It's nice to have wealthy parents. Nonetheless, I can't imagine that they're too happy about this whole situation.
