(Cannes, France) About two years ago, a man died from engaging in sex with a horse at a farm in the state of Washington. The farm was found to be a gathering place for livestock lovers and the story garnered significant interest. In fact, there was enough interest that independent filmmaker Robinson Devor made a movie which has now been previewed at the Cannes Film Festival.
Called Zoo, the film envelops the story of bestiality in "rich photography that gives it a dreamlike beauty."
Many reviews have been favourable to the approach taken by Devor and his team.Leave it to the film industry to come up with a movie that depicts sex with animals as something beautiful. By the way, for those who may be slow on the uptake, "the subjective nature of morality" means a total disregard for any moral standards.
"They've crafted a subdued, mysterious and intensely beautiful film that presents bestiality not for the purpose of titillation?but as a way of investigating the subjective nature of morality," the movie trade magazine Variety wrote.
