(Caldwell, Idaho) A 32-year-old local woman, Roseanna Villanueva (aka Roseanna Maggard), was arrested last Thursday for allegedly engaging in sex with a 14-year-old boy who fathered her child. Villanueva faces a charge of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor under 16.
Court records indicated that police began an investigation in June 2005 after receiving a report that Villanueva had sexual intercourse with a then-14-year-old male. The teen had moved in with Villanueva and her husband in the spring of 2005 while Villanueva was acting as his temporary guardian. The case was reopened in October 2006, when a picture of Villanueva, the teenager and a baby appeared on a Web site Villanueva maintained, claiming the teen as the baby's father.If convicted of the charges against her, Villanueva could be sentenced to life in prison. Currently, she is free on $25,000 bond.
The teen told officers in an interview that he and Villanueva had intercourse almost daily for a two-week period after he moved in with her.
"(The teen) said after the first incident they had sex almost every day until their relationship became known by the church and Villanueva's husband," according to court documents. A paternity test showed that the teen was 99.99 percent likely to be the baby's father.
