Mom Gets 10 Years for Child Sex

(Katy, Texas) In August 2006, a local mother-of-three, Dina Marie Blakely (aka Dina Marie Blakley and Joan Davis), was arrested for allegedly engaging in sex with an 11-year-old neighborhood boy. She was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Apparently to avoid the emotional and psychological impact of a trial, Blakely decided to plead guilty.

Dina Blakely, who had the young boy's baby, admitted to aggravated sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. The victim was her best friend's son.

The victim came forward last July when he was 13 years old. That was when Blakely told the boy he was the father of her child.

The boy then told a family member who told his mother. The boy's mother than called police.

Yesterday, 38-year-old Blakely was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

For those who believe that there is no harm done when adult females molest boys, think about this case. A 13-year-old is the father of a two-year-old toddler who has lost his mother to prison for the next ten years. Two other children will also not have a mother at home for the next decade. The "family" in the Blakely family has evaporated. The 13-year-old father's family has been stressed and will likely suffer a humiliating social stigma for years. The overall psychological damage to the toddler and the 13-year-old, not unimportant, won't be known for decades.

You can count on it, harm is done when adult females molest boys.
