(El Dorado, Arkansas) A 24-year-old intruder, Douglas Williams Jr., is in critical condition at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport with a gunshot wound to his throat. Willie Lee Hill, 93, saw intruder Williams in his bedroom Wednesday night and confronted him. Williams struck Hill at least 50 times with a soda can, knocking Hill unconscious and leaving bloody gashes on his head.
Covered with blood, Hill regained consciousness, pulled out his .38 caliber handgun and fired at Williams, hitting him in the throat. Later, Williams moaned to police.
"I can't feel my legs and I got what I deserved."Heh, Williams seems to have learned a lot in a short time. He faces burglary, battery and theft charges.
Elderly Willie Lee Hill is recovering from the beating he received.
