Texas Teacher Guilty of Child Sex Abuse

(Katy, Texas) In March 2007, a 28-year-old eighth-grade math teacher at McDonald Junior High School, Emily S. Willis, was arrested for engaging in sex with a 14-year-old student.

Responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle, Harris County Sheriff's deputies found Willis and the male student having sex in her car. Willis was charged with sexual assault of a child.

On Wednesday of this week, Emily Willis pleaded guilty to sexual abuse of a child. A pre-sentencing evaluation was ordered with the results to be reviewed by District Judge Caprice Cosper prior to her sentencing date of September 26th.

Willis faces a possible 20 years in prison.
