Psychology and the Death Penalty
Steven K. Erickson analyzes an article discussing the juvenile death penalty in the current issue of Psychology, Public Policy, and the Law and finds that it appears the authors started with a predetermined result and built the piece backwards to support it.
As a general rule, my take would be that from weak, contradictory and, sometimes, non-existent scientific data, psychology professionals concoct rock-solid clinical conclusions in support of their pet political agenda items.
I agree with SKE. However, without disparaging the entire psychology and mental health profession, I will suggest that more than a few psychology experts are nothing more than shills for leftist politics.
