GM-UAW Playing Hot Potato

Tom Blumer of BizzyBlog has put up a great post on the new General Motors/United Auto Workers contract.

For those who want to be informed enough to speak intelligently about the issue, it's a must read.

Interesting fact: While proclaiming that the union guarantees job security, UAW membership has dwindled from 246,000 in 1994 to about 74,000 today. Doing the math, the UAW has been losing members at a rate of more than 1,000 a week, every week, for the past 13 years. Some security, eh?
