(Greenville County, South Carolina) Here's an odd case. A 20-year-old mother, Sarah Titi Walker, was arrested last week for her part in a fake kidnapping and armed robbery plot which included involvement of her four-month-old son.
The plot began with Walker entering a retail establishment with her son.
An unnamed co-defendant entered behind her and pointed a handgun at the clerk's head, while demanding money, according to warrants.Walker faces charges of armed robbery, child endangerment, filing a false police report and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
After the clerk handed over the money, the co-defendant "fake kidnapped" the woman and child, "so that they could make a speedy getaway," warrants allege.
The woman "returned to the crime scene minutes later and told numerous lies" to deputies, according to the warrant.
Deputies initially thought she was a victim, said Master Deputy Ashley Bethell. It wasn’t until Tuesday that she was booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, jail records show.
