Woman Jailed for Long-Term Sex with Boy

(Tulare, California) A 44-year-old local woman, Carol Austin, was arrested this week for allegedly engaging in a three-year sexual relationship with a teen boy, starting at age 13.

Carol Austin was taken into custody on suspicion of lewd acts upon a child and unlawful sex with a minor.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff's Department, she is also being held on a charge of continuous sexual abuse upon a child.

Austin was booked into custody with bond set at $100,000.

According to Don Gallian, Tulare County Assistant District Attorney, all charges against Carol Austin have been dismissed due to insufficient evidence.
