Girl, 12, Drives Mom to Bar

(Longview, Texas) A 35-year-old local woman, Jennifer Lynn Rosenberg (aka Rosenburg), was arrested last week for allegedly having her 12-year-old daughter drive her to a bar. It was Mom's birthday.

Longview Police Officer C.E. Davis stopped a blue minivan in the 400 block of 15th Street after the vehicle turned into a residence without using a turn signal and ran into the residence at a low speed, the officer's report said. The officer learned the driver was a 12-year-old girl, and she said she had dropped her mother off at the bar.

Rosenburg, who turned 35 on Wednesday, was found at Leon's, in the 2100 block of Eastman Road about two miles from the residence. Rosenburg said she had her daughter drive her to the bar, the officer's report said.

Rosenburg was booked into custody at the Gregg County Jail with bond set at $2,500.
