(Dayton, Ohio) On Friday, a couple from Maryland found a 4-year-old boy wandering alone at an Interstate-70 rest stop without shoes or a winter coat. When asked what happened to him, the little boy told Michael and Judith McConnell that "a bad man came into my house without knocking and shot my mommy." The police were called immediately.
The boy, William Nelson, was unharmed when he was left at the rest stop by the intruder. Fortunately, he had memorized emergency contact information allowing authorities to respond quickly to the home of Jenny Nelson, 29, finding her dead from a gunshot wound.
When the unknown killer left the house, in addition to the boy, he also took two computers and Jenny Nelson's mother's car, a black Oldsmobile Alero. About 5PM yesterday, the stolen car was found in Columbus. It is being processed for evidence and fingerprints by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in Columbus.
Montgomery County Sheriff plans a press conference for 10AM today.
