Tennessee Woman and Best Friend's Boy

(Alcoa, Tennessee) A 36-year-old local woman, Heather Lynn Blackwell, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly engaging in a months-long sexual relationship with a boy, starting when he was 13 years old.

Astonishingly, the boy was the son of Blackwell's best friend. In fact, the boy's mother said Blackwell was like a sister to her.

Now the mother of five -- who is also seven months pregnant -- said she doesn't know who to trust anymore.

Alcoa Police Detective Kris Sanders said the relationship that 36-year-old Blackwell had with the 14-year-old boy began unraveling when the teen was taken into custody on "delinquency charges from a separate investigation involving allegations of sexual abuse in which (the boy) was the alleged offender." The teen told detectives that he began having a sexual relationship with Blackwell in the summer of 2008. Sanders said the teen and Blackwell had started sharing personal details with each other, which eventually led to the first encounter. During that incident, the teen said Blackwell performed a sexual act on the boy, which then led to sexual intercourse.

"That pretty much started the physical relationship that lasted five to six months," Sanders said.

Blackwell faces four counts of aggravated statutory rape. She was booked into custody with bond set at $75,000. A court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow.
