1937 Bugatti Type 57S
(Paris, France) A vintage Bugatti, 1937 Type 57S, has been sold at auction for $4.5 million. One of only 17 built, the 72-year-old car has not had the engine started since 1960 and the odometer registers less than 27,000 miles.
Reportedly, a collector in Europe bought the vehicle.
One can only speculate what kind of bids the Bugatti would have received had it been waxed, buffed and armor-alled. It looks neglected, quite grody in the picture.
