(Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) In a November 2008 federal drug raid, a 40-year-old Indiana Township woman, Christina Marie Korbe, was arrested on drug and weapons charges, including causing the death of FBI Special Agent Samuel Hicks.
In January 2009, Korbe was indicted on four charges including murder of a federal officer. Korbe pleaded not guilty to the charges, claiming she acted in self-defense.
Earlier today, Korbe was indicted on additional charges, including conspiracy to distribute cocaine and use of a firearm during a drug-trafficking crime.
Agents and police snared Robert Korbe and 34 other suspects allegedly connected to a large-scale drug ring operating in Allegheny County.No date has been set for a hearing on the additional charges. Christina Korbe sits and waits in the Cambria County Jail.
Some suspects are accused of distributing and conspiring to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and more than 50 grams of crack from October 2007 through September. Some are charged with conspiring to obtain and distribute prescription drugs, including OxyContin, Percocet, Vicodin and Xanax, from June 2007 through August.
Robert Korbe, 39, is charged with two counts of distributing cocaine and one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and crack.
Christina Korbe now is charged with being connected to the same drug ring. Prosecutors claim she conspired to distribute 500 or more grams of cocaine and that she possessed with the intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine.
