Missouri Woman Accused of Sex with Boy

(Rogersville, Missouri) A 43-year-old Fordland woman, Coty Johnston, has been accused of engaging in sex with a 16-year-old boy. Johnston has been charged with statutory rape.

A probable cause statement filed in the case by a Fordland police officer reports that local officials were alerted in early June by the Webster County Sheriff’s Department that Johnston had allegedly had sexual contact with the teen.

The teen reportedly told authorities he and Johnston had sexual intercourse on two occasions, once in April of this year, about a month before his 17th birthday.

But when Johnston was interviewed by authorities, she “denied having any sexual intercourse” with the teen “and stated he was lying about the alleged incident.” “Coty Johnston claimed she did not know why (the teen) would make such a claim, unless it was because he had made sexual advances toward her and she had refused,” the statement continued.

Johnston has a court appearance scheduled for August 10.
