Florida Teacher Accused of Sex with Male Student, 16

(Kissimmee, Florida) Earlier today, a 36-year-old science teacher formerly at Celebration High School, Dellys Serrano, was arrested for engaging in sex with a 16-year-old male student. Serrano has been charged with unlawful sexual activity.

Authorities were alerted by school principal Nina Wehmeyer who relayed complaints.

In one of the complaints, one of the boys said he had been having sex with Serrano, the report stated.

The teen later said Serrano regularly gave him rides, stopping to buy him snacks and cigarettes. She began texting him in September, and their relationship became sexual over Christmas vacation, according to the report.

On Dec. 21, the first day of vacation, they went to lunch at a local Burger King and then went to WalMart, where Serrano bought him an air-soft pistol, a realistic replica of a handgun, the teen said. Store surveillance video subsequently verified the purchase by showing Serrano buy the toy gun for the teen, the report stated.

The same afternoon, Serrano is accused of driving the boy home, where they had sex in his bedroom. He later gave investigators inmate details about Serrano's body to verify his story, the report stated.

After photographing Serrano's body, police verified the teen's description. In addition, Serrano is accused of repeatedly texting the teen after he had tried to break off the relationship. In the texts, Serrano allegedly asked repeatedly for "Birthday Sex" which hasn't been explained in any reports. I'd guess it's related to technique.

Serrano was booked into custody at the Osceola County Jail.
