Concealed Weapons Count Jumps in Ohio

(Columbus, Ohio) According to Attorney General Richard Cordray's office, more concealed carry licenses were issued during President Obama's first year in office than ever before.

Authorities issued 56,691 permits to carry concealed handguns in 2009, well above the previous high of 45,497 set in 2004, when the state first allowed residents to carry concealed firearms. In 2008, authorities issued 33,864 permits.

Some may dispute the linking of concealed gun licenses to President Obama's tenure. I don't.
